QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer.  It is an emergency mental health training intervention that teaches anyone (lay and professional) to recognize and respond positively to someone exhibiting suicide warning signs and behaviors. Just like CPR, QPR uses a “chain of survival” approach in which you will learn to recognize early suicide warning signs.  QUESTION their meaning to determine suicide intent or desire, PERSUADE the person to accept or seek help, and REFER the person to appropriate resources.

Join us for this FREE 90 minute training to learn skills to respond to someone in crisis.  You will learn what to see, say and do.  This training is for all members  of the community 18 years and older interested in suicide prevention.  A training coordinator will contact you via email and phone with details on how to access this on-line training.

*Please note: There are three training dates to choose from and registration closes 2 days before the training date.  The trainer will send class link to all registrants one day prior to the training.
