This years application is due by September 4th, 2026. Before applying, please be sure you've have met ALL necessary pre-requisites and you have all application materials ready. As a reminder, all perquisites must be completed by Summer quarter with a 3.0 or higher. If these pre-reqs are not met, you will not be considered for the program. Pre-requisites done outside of Pierce College must have official transcripts and sent and processed by evaluations@pierce.ctc.edu.

Please refrain from using all caps (ex. ALL CAPS) in your submissions/signature. Failure to submit all necessary materials may result in disqualification of your application. You will be unable to save your progress in your application.


Please do not submit more than 1 application. Doing so may cause delays in reviewing your application.
Thank you for your interest in the Pierce College Associate Degree in Nursing evening weekend program. The program can be completed in 8 quarters. At the end of your experience, you will be prepared to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This exam measures the competencies needed to be a safe, effective, entry-level registered nurse.

Accreditation Information

The Pierce College Nursing Program is approved by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission and is accredited with conditions by the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) formerly NLNAC, 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, Georgia, 30326.

We are required by federal regulation 34 CFR § 668.43(a)(5)(v) and 34 CFR § 668.43(c) to let you know that Pierce College Associate Degree in Nursing program meets the educational requirements for specific licensure/certification required for employment in doctor's offices and hospitals in Washington only.

Pierce College has not determined if the curriculum of the Associate Degree in Nursing meets the educational requirements for licensure/certification in any other state. All of our courses and programs are fully accredited and course credits may transfer to university programs that are designed to meet state professional licensure/certification. UPDATES TO THE APPLICATION BEFORE YOU BEGIN (PLEASE READ):

- COVID-19 vaccination is longer required. Some clinical partner requirements may require it.
- Our application requirements have changed. Please visit Pierce College's Nursing Website (https://www.pierce.ctc.edu/nursing) to review the requirements for admission:
- The application does not have a fee.
- Prerequisite courses completed by the end of the application term (In this instance Summer 2026).
- We require official transcripts must be viewable in on CTCLink (classes pending completion are okay). You must submit outside official transcripts that have required perquisites to the evaluations office (evaluations@pierce.ctc.edu).
- We no longer require personal statement responses in the application but have reintegrated resumes back into the application process.
- Pass background check(s). Please read through the disqualifying factors.
