Selection Criteria
Employees will be rewarded for championing activities outside of work that demonstrate and promote the Chairman’s Citizenship Core Value.

While all employees should operate in accordance with Olympic Steel’s Core Values at all times while at work, those recognized as Chairman’s Citizenship Award winners would be considered as going “above and beyond” in living Olympic Steel’s Citizenship Core Values – demonstrating exceptional efforts outside of Olympic Steel sponsored events and well beyond of the individual’s job description.

Eligibility
All Olympic Steel employees (individuals and teams) are eligible, including employees at all locations and businesses in the Olympic Steel family of brands (e.g., Action Stainless, Berlin Metals, Central Tube & Bar, Chicago Tube & Iron, Integrity Stainless, McCullough Industries, Metal-Fab, MetalWorks and Shaw Stainless & Alloy).
Leadership (General Managers and above), contractors/temporary employees and interns are not eligible.

Chairman’s Citizenship Award Winners – chosen by Olympic Steel’s Executive Chairman and a CEO-appointed Selection Committee
  • Award and special company recognition
  • $500 donation to the charity of the recipient’s choice
Honorable Mentions – chosen by Olympic Steel’s Executive Chairman and a CEO-appointed Selection Committee
  • Award and special company recognition
  • $100 donation to the charity of the recipient’s choice
Employee’s Choice – chosen by employee popular vote
  • Award and special company recognition
  • $250 donation to the charity of the recipient’s choice
