A new generation of the internet based on blockchains, decentralised networks, and digital assets promises to put the user in control of their data and their interactions, breaking the monopolies of the current big players.
Web3 has the potential to make online spaces more trustworthy, empowering users to be part of the new opportunities. The Web3 market has been forecast to grow at a CAGR of more than 46% to 2030, reaching around $50 billion, according to a report by Cognitive Market Research.
To prepare for this coming Web3 world, Ireland must ensure that policy, education and skills, and the public and private sectors, are ready to take full advantage, adapting successfully to the new landscape.
Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet is conducting research to establish what will be needed to develop a talent-led approach to Web3, with support from Blockchain Ireland.
This survey is aimed at businesses and entrepreneurs working in or getting into Web3, to gauge the current situation and ascertain what needs to be done for tomorrow.
