Hoop House Questionaire

There is no clear definition for ‘Hoop Houses’ and this has created confusion at some municipalities because they believe hoop houses are the same as greenhouses. Those in our industry know this is not the case because hoop houses are far less costly, far smaller, temporary, grower-installed, non-gutter-connected, with simple, to no services.
Would you agree with the following definition for Ontario hoop houses?
***Hoop houses are designed to discourage growth of perennial plants, shrubs and trees and keep them dormant, while protecting them from injury.
