Thank you for taking the time to nominate deserving businesses and community champions for the 2026 Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce Awards!
This nomination/voting process is anonymous and open to the public. Nominations will be accepted from
July 3 - 17 and the top 3 nominees in each category will be voted on between
July 22-29. Winners will be announced at the Chamber's
Annual Celebration on
September 9th (tickets sales open August 5th).
General Criteria:
Nominees in each category must be a
Current Member with the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce.

Last year's award winners are not eligible for nomination this year, but we congratulate all past awardees, including the 2025 winners:
- Jack Meehan, WoodChippers – Community Service Award
- Inn Along the Way – Community Service Organization
- Hearty Roots – Business of the Year
- Sheila McLain – Businessperson of the Year
- Brynne Whitney – Rising Star
- Marva Nesbit – President’s Award
Award Descriptions:
- Community Service Award: Recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the community through volunteer service, civic engagement, or charitable work.
- Community Service Organization Award: Recognizes a corporation or non-profit organization whose mission and programs have made a significant positive impact on the community.
- Business of the Year: Recognizes a corporation or non-profit that has demonstrated excellence in business practices, growth, and contribution to the regional economy.
- Businessperson of the Year: Recognizes a corporation or non-profit that has demonstrated excellence in business practices, growth, and contribution to the regional economy.
- Rising Star: Recognizes an individual who is newer to the business community and has shown exceptional promise, initiative, and impact in a short period of time.
You may skip any category for which you do not have a person or business to nominate, but please do provide the reason for any of your chosen nominatons.
