KiwiSport Funding should increase the skill development of children to participate in sport
KiwiSport Funding should overcome the cost of sport so more children can participate
KiwiSport Funding should increase the number and quality of coaches and volunteers in sport for children

KiwiSport Funding should strengthen connections and partnerships between clubs, schools and regional sport organisations

* 8. Currently KiwiSport Funding is allocated as 15% Contestable / 85% Non-Contestable.

(Contestable is the proportion of funding that is open to applications from the community, Non-Contestable is the proportion of funding that is allocated directly by Sport Hawke's Bay).

Sport Hawke's Bay is proposing to change the allocation of KiwiSport Funding to 50% Contestable and 50% Non-Contestable.

Sport Hawke's Bay believes this would create a better balance between targeted projects and projects identified by the community.

Sport Hawke's Bay is proposing to change this structure to Large Project Funding for projects over $5,000 and Small Project Funding for projects under $5,000.
