Please help the Strategic Communications Working Group identify priorities for communications activities by answering these three short questions.
Individual Partner Promotion 1. Partner of the week/month who takes the lead on social media posts a. Data of the week (highlight something of interest) 2. Link to existing podcasts, get mentions, hashtags, etc. 3. Host a live Twitter/FB event with a doctor/nurse from provider
partner 4. Create network of communications leads at partner organizations
and formalize an agreement about how communications will be sup
ported (at various levels with a minimum commitment of
engagement).
Movement Communications 1. Provide support to other Working Groups and vice versa 2. Need to prioritize audiences (youth and young adults, faith and
community leaders, parents/caregivers, teachers, schools, providers,
elected officials, CBOs/community organizers, media). 3. Content Creation a. Meet a Pocket Guide Clinic: possible YouTube feature with youth social media ambassadors who interview PG clinics. b. Work with exiting partner Youth Group to create social media content c. Art engagement (plays, fine art, poetry, spoken word, etc) 4. Let’s Talk About STDs Online Story Collection (interactive, anonymous) a. Post questions on wecanstopstdsla.org: Why is talking about STDs so scary? How does not talking about STDs or SRH inhibit
self care? 5. Activate STD testing as a routine part of overall health (following a human centered design process to co-create a solution with youth) a. Combine with physicals at schools b. Testing event at PG clinics c. Host a countywide testing event in 2019
