Tour Overview & Participation Requirements

Join us for the Illinois Green Alliance's 7th annual GreenBuilt Home Tour on Saturday and Sunday, August 3 and 4, 2019 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm!

This annual event showcases high-performance green homes of all stripes - particularly those that have earned third-party recognition or awards such as ENERGY STAR, Passive House, LEED for Homes, NAHB's National Green Building Standard, Living Building Challenge, GreenStar, HERS rating and more. The goal of this tour is to increase public awareness and demand for healthy, efficient, and sustainable homes. Learn more and see last year's tour homes here.

We are excited to hear about your project and look forward to your application. Note there is no application fee, but the information provided will be confirmed, and additional information may be collected. Applications or a note of interest must be received before Monday, April 1 2019 to be considered for the 2019 event.

If your home is selected, you will be asked to provide at least one high resolution (1 MB or larger) home photo or rendering suitable for publication in print and online.

As the primary contact for the home, you will work with Illinois Green staff to secure a minimum of $1,000 in sponsorships to feature your home on the tour.  Sponsorship can be comprised of single or multiple sponsors including builders, designers, products, or services used in your home.  Upon submitting your application, Illinois Green staff will request a detailed list of potential sponsor contact information along with outreach assistance to secure sponsors.

There are also packages available if you are interested in additional recognition, including purchasing an ad to highlight your company in our event program or having materials about your company distributed to all tour attendees.  Please contact Brian Imus for sponsorship opportunities.

Please prepare to spend at least 20 minutes completing this application. Information to have handy prior to completing the application is any energy performance test results, specifications and features of the home, and the contact information for potential sponsors.
