Genderful Families- Let’s Go!
1.
Hot Metal Bridge Faith Community has received grant funding specifically to build an intentional community for genderful families! Our vision is for this to be a safe, joyful, connected group of families that together create intergenerational bonds, mutual support, celebration, and resilience. So many of the harms experienced by the LGBTQIA+ community have been caused or reinforced by the Church. So we think the responsibility for repair also rests with the Church. So while this community is supported by a faith organization, it is not a faith-focused program and does not impose religious belief or practice. It is open to families of all religions and no religion.
Would you and or your family be interested in attending any Genderful Family events?
Yes, please keep me posted
No thank, this isn’t for me
2.
In light of current legislative and political and social movements to disenfranchise LGBTQIA+ folks, how are you feeling?
Very Concerned (examples: making plans to leave the state/country, fear is a part of daily life, protection/privacy in communications is very important)
Concerned (examples: considering ‘options’ if things get worse, fear comes up often, some considerations made for privacy/protections)
Mildly Concerned (examples: keeps an eye on news events, not thinking of relocation, fear creeps in occasionally, communicating through unencrypted channels)
