Initial Assessment and Referral, Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) for Mental Health
The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care is introducing the Initial Assessment and Referral, Decision Support Tool known as IAR-DST.
The IAR provides a standardised, evidence-based and objective approach to assist with mental health care recommendations. The tool is used to assist clinicians to recommend the most appropriate level of care for a person seeking mental health support. This assessment is guided by your own clinical judgement and assessment.
