Welcome to the 2019 Connecticut Lottery Responsible Gaming Retailer Training

As a valued member of our retailer network, we want to ensure that we consistently provide you with the training and resources you need to educate yourselves, your staff, and your customers about Responsible Gambling.
This training will take less than five (5) minutes to complete.
Our Mission
Responsible Gambling is a core value of the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC). The mission of the CLC is to "raise revenue in an entrepreneurial manner for the State of Connecticut, consistent with the highest standards of good public and social responsibility, by offering products to our players that are fun and entertaining, and by ensuring the public's trust through integrity and honesty."
GameSense
In 2016, the Connecticut Lottery Corporation entered into an agreement with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation for the right to use “GameSense,” GameSense is an innovative and comprehensive responsible gaming educational program that uses a positive approach to give your customers factual information necessary to play responsibly and make informed choices. It is designed to remind people to use their GameSense (or common sense) when gambling.
"The Player should have all of the necessary information and resources available to make well informed decisions on when to gamble, when to stop, and how much to spend."

Youth Gambling
Did you know that approximately 80% of high school-aged adolescents report having gambled for money during the past year? It's important to the CLC that we educate our partners, retailers and players about the dangers of youth gambling, especially during the holidays, as part of our Responsible Gambling efforts.
