Nimbin Vacation Care /After School Care service - Survey for Parents

Nimbin Vacation Care ceased to operate when the funding ceased in June 2021. Nimbin Neighbourhood and Information Centre (NNIC) is investigating the feasibility of starting up either a new Vacation Care program, OR an after school hours program, OR both, as a provider registered under the Child Care Benefits Scheme. This means that families who are eligible to claim the CCB would be able to claim all or part of the fees charged. Families who are not eligible for the CCB would need to pay the fees upfront - estimated to be around $80 per day per child for Vacation Care (from 8.30am to 5.30pm) and $25 per day per children for After School Hours care.  We would need daily enrollments of around 15 children in order for a new program to be viable. The program would be for children aged 5 to 12 years.
