Substitute Teacher Hiring Models

PERA is currently drafting new guidance that would require public schools in Colorado (both charter and non-charter) to pay retirement contributions on behalf of substitute teachers and other temporary support staff employed by third-party staffing agencies (e.g. Kelly Services). The League is interested in learning more about how charter schools hire and staff substitute teachers and other temporary positions - so that we can better advocate on your behalf at the Capitol on this important topic.
