Most of us like to think we embrace the ideas of personal freedom and eschew strongmen tactics. And yet, time and again through our history, our citizens have supported policies that teeter perilously close to fascism. Surely we wouldn't allow the same thing. But how different is our mindset from them?

Let's begin:
