The Tointon Gallery presents the Annual Arts Picnic Exhibit, inviting all Weld County artists of all ages to submit their best work for the largest community exhibit of the year at the Tointon Gallery! Application, admission, and the reception is always free!
As a sponsor of our community art exhibit, The Arts Picnic strives to promote and encourage the arts while improving the quality of life in Greeley. Artwork must have been produced in the last two years and not previously shown in the Tointon Gallery.
-Artists must reside in Weld County.
-We will ONLY accept the first 100 applications we receive in the Adult Division.
-Registration form is due July 5, 2023
-The number of student applications accepted will not be limited.
-All forms of fine art are eligible for display.
-Limit one piece per artist.
-The gallery will not collect a commission on art sales.
-There is no entry fee.
-All artwork must be delivered and picked up on time.
-Artwork will only be insured while they are on the premises and only from July 17 - August 14, 2023.
-Work must stay on display until show closes.
-All art will be displayed at the discretion of the Tointon Gallery Visual Arts Committee.
Artwork Requirements:
Adult division 2-D work must be properly framed and ready to hang by a wire. (No sawtooth hanger)
Maximum size for 2-D work is 150 inches (as measured around frame, about 9 sq. ft.).
Student category 2-D work may be matted, mounted, and/or framed and must be ready to hang.

OPENING ARTIST RECEPTION
The Arts Picnic Fine Art Exhibit Reception will be held on Friday, July 28 from 5-7 p.m. in the Tointon Gallery. Come visit with artists and enjoy some light refreshments.
ARTS PICNIC KICK-OFF CONCERT
The Arts Picnic Kick-Off Concert will follow the reception beginning at 7 p.m. on the 9th Street Plaza. The concert is presented by The City of Greeley and co-sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority and City of Greeley.

August 14, 2023, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Art Pick-up
We have limited storage space, please pick your work up on time or make other arrangements. Work will not be released before the close of the exhibit.
Applications will be marked according to the date we receive them. The first 100 adult division, (and all student division) applicants will be eligible to enter artwork. You will only be notified if your work is not accepted because of limited space.
City Purchase Awards- Artwork may be purchased from the adult division for display in city-owned buildings and may become a part of the Greeley Public Art Program’s permanent collection.
