Join us for a live four hour CE training where clinicians will learn about the subtypes of NPD identified by many experts and researchers, and the distinct characteristics common in each type. Clinicians will also learn about some of the individual factors that have been identified in research as increasing a person’s risk of developing NPD or NPD traits. Interventions will be discussed and practiced in this course that can help address some of the root issues in NPD including shame, hypersensitivity, and defensiveness. Clinicians will walk away from this training with a better understanding of NPD, how to identify it, and ways to treat it.

Studies show that there has been a sharp rise in the number of people diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, as well as people who display NPD traits and tendencies. NPD traits and diagnostic criteria will be explored in this training to help clinicians learn how to identify and diagnose this disorder. This training will thoughtfully discuss the social, cultural, and individual risk factors believed to contribute to the rise in NPD as well as examine this disorder with real-world examples provided.
