9.Project Proposal: Please upload a project proposal consistent with the objectives of the Fred T. Korematsu Summer Fellowship program outlined in the instructions (linked above). The proposal should identify a specific project that can be undertaken over the course of the summer fellowship that would spport individual civil rights, in the United States or elsewhere. The Selection Committee will be open-minded with respect to the types of issues addressed, and the type of work to be undertaken, as long as the focus is on civil rights. Project proposal should not exceed two pages.(Required.)

16.Letter from the Host Organization certifying (required):

  1. If awarded, the Host Organization agrees to host the Fred T. Korematsu Fellow for 10 weeks during Summer 2024;
  2. It will provide the Fred T. Korematsu Fellow with supervision, a workspace, and the materials that he/she/they will need to complete their project;
  3. The Host Organization has at least one lawyer on staff that can supervise the Fred T. Korematsu Fellow; and
  4. Proof of nonprofit status.
