The Society for Redox Biology and Medicine (SfRBM) is now actively looking for members who are interested in serving on its Council for a 4-year term to begin in January 2027.

The following positions will be contested via election this summer:
  • Officers (3):
    • President-Elect
    • VP Org Health
    • VP Branding & Advocacy
  • Council Members (8)
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE JUNE 1, 2026

PROCESS
The Nominations/Leadership Development Committee will review all submitted applications and determine the final slate of nominees that will be presented to members for election.

DUTIES
The Council serves as the Society's governing body and normally meets one time per year during SfRBM's Annual Meeting. Business is conducted via email and video calls during the rest of the year.

Please note we are looking for leaders who are willing to be fully engaged in the Society, which will include specific committee leadership assignments within one of five areas: Education & Professional Development, Research & Scientific Excellence, Communications, Membership and Finance.

The President-Elect will serve on SfRBM's Council in this capacity for two years (as one of the Society's Vice Presidents) and then become President in January 2027 and serve a 2-year term.

We encourage those members who have been actively serving on committees to take the "next step" and apply for one of the available Council positions. Click here to view the SfRBM Organizational Chart.
