Council would like to hear your thoughts about the Tallangatta Library hours.

Council was very pleased to open the doors on the new Tallangatta Library in late June 2016. At that time the opening hours were increased from 18.5 hours per week (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday morning) to 40 hours per week (9am to 5pm Monday to Friday).

Since opening, community feedback has been received indicating a community preference to have the library open outside normal business hours to enable residents who work outside the Shire to use the new library space.

Council is now seeking your views on alternative opening hours for the library. Please note that altering the opening hours may result in additional operating costs.  Where this occurs we propose to reduce the regular operating hours on weekdays so there is minimal change to the total operating cost of the library.

Hard copies of this survey are available from the Tallangatta Library, Council Office, Crisp's Newsagency or the Tallangatta Pharmacy. The survey can also be completed online through Council's website www.towong.vic.gov.au

It would be appreciated if responses could be received by Thursday 22 June. If there is general community support for a change, it is anticipated that a six month trial of alternate operating hours will be conducted.

This survey is estimated to take around 5 minutes of your time.

Thank you
