The Author has been published by the Society of Authors since 1890, and as we head towards its 135th year, we are conducting a review of its sustainability and value to members today.

As part of this review, we want to hear readers’ thoughts on The Author and, in particular, their views on the possibility of a digital version of the magazine and of a less-frequent print edition. With paper and postage costs rising year on year, it's vital that we consider all the options.

The survey, which should take around five minutes to complete, will help us understand what our members want and need.

The survey has been extended and will now be open until early summer 2025.
