Are you a young person with lived experience of taking on extra responsibilities when someone in your life has mental health or alcohol or drug (AOD) challenges? We'd love to hear from you!
Arafmi is looking at what it's like for children and young people who support a family member or friend with mental health or AOD challenges.
Young carers often take on extra responsibilities, like being there for emotional support, doing extra chores around the house, helping with medication and appointments, or looking after siblings.
We'll be talking to young people directly to know what support they really want and need.
We’re especially keen to hear if you’re in a regional, rural or remote area, or from a refugee or migrant background. We know young people in these communities can experience extra challenges that are important to understand.
