Leadership groups reviewed staff suggestions and input from the recent ACE training to help form our updated Code of Conduct. Below is the draft of our 2024 Code of Conduct. Please review and share any additional suggestions or comments you have.

- I will recognize the value within each person.
- I will welcome people by smiling, making eye contact, and addressing them by name.
- I will use active listening to promote effective communication.
Empowerment: We support opportunities for residents to experience a meaningful life.
- I will be an advocate for residents and put their needs first.
- I will support opportunities for residents to give care to others.
- I will seek to place decision-making into the hands of residents or those closest to them.
- I will use person-centered language.
- I will recognize that residents do not live where we work, we work in their home.
Excellence: We strive to exceed the expectations of those we serve.
