Celebrating African American Contributions to Labor: Featuring Dr. William C. Turner

EVENT OVERVIEW:
The Office of Faculty Development, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion invites you to a Black History Celebration event featuring Dr. William C. Turner, Associate Professor of Medicine at CUMC and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. In his lecture, “A Labor of Love: A Celebration of African American Physicians at Columbia and Beyond,” Dr. Turner will examine the triumphs, challenges, and lasting contributions of African American physicians throughout history, with a special focus on their impact at Columbia. There will be food and music, join us for a vibrant celebration of history, culture, and community.
