Welcome to My Survey

Information Statement:

The number of cancers occurring worldwide is increasing. This is partly because populations are living longer, but also because of an increase in cancer causing behaviours. It is estimated that at least one-third of all cancers could be prevented through adopting a healthy diet, staying active and maintaining a healthy body weight.

Researchers at UCC have compiled a set of questions relating to cancer risk factors. We are asking men living in Ireland to complete this survey so that we can better understand how much males in Ireland understand about cancer risk factors. This knowledge is important as it will help health professionals and policy makers develop better cancer awareness programmes for people in Ireland into the future.

The survey should take no more than ten minutes to complete. Survey data will be grouped together and examined as a whole. Therefore you will not be identifiable as an individual from anything you have written. Your participation is completely voluntary and you may withdraw from the survey at any time. This research has been approved by the Social Research Ethics Committee at UCC.

Thank you for your time.

At present, we are collecting data from males only, and would ask females not to continue with the survey. Thank you for your interest.
