The After a Suicide website offers practical information and guidance if someone you love or care about has died by suicide.

The website was adapted from the booklet After a Suicide, which was originally prepared by the New Zealand Guidelines Group and Skylight on behalf of the Ministry of Youth Development.

For the next stage of developing the website, we would like your feedback on the website's content. We would like to know what kinds of information you have needed to access after a suicide, whether the website provides this information, and how the website can be improved.

Before beginning, we want to acknowledge that thinking about suicide loss can be really hard on the heart, particularly if you’ve lost someone close to you, or have felt (or are feeling) depressed yourself. If you would like to talk to someone about anything you are thinking or feeling, there are some great people on the end of the phone at Lifeline 0800 543 354, or at Youthline on 0800 376 633 or free text 234. We encourage you to give them a call.
