Register for Commercial Composting Facility Tour - Saturday, May 19th, 2018

Thank you for your interest in attending the tour of Specialized Environmental Technology's composting facility that processes Minneapolis organics.

Tour Details:

Saturday, May 19th

9:00 a.m. -- Pick up from Folwell Park at 1615 Dowling Ave

9:30 a.m -- Pick up from Powderhorn Park at 3400 15th Ave S

10:00 a.m. -- 11:00 a.m. -- Tour of commercial composting facility

12:00 p.m. -- Return to Powderhorn Park

12:15 -- Return to Folwell Park

This tour is entirely outside, will last approximately 45 minutes. It is important to dress appropriately. We recommend clothing to allow comfort in the outdoors and rain boots or old shoes that can get dirty. We will be walking through mud, dirt and grass and up a big hill. Conditions can be dusty and windy depending on the weather conditions. Anyone who is sensitive to dust or who has physical limitations with walking on uneven surfaces should keep this in mind. Hard hats, safety vests and safety glasses will be provided.

The tour is limited to 45 people and all attendees must be older than 10 years old.
