Survey on nonprofit commuter benefits

NPCC and the Lawyers Alliance for New York, as a part of a larger coalition, are trying to determine the impact on nonprofits of a new 30% "unrelated business income tax" (UBIT) on "qualified transportation fringe benefits" (also known as commuter benefits). Recently, the New York State Legislature passed legislation that would eliminate the state tax (9%), and we are awaiting the Governor's response.

This survey will give us information to advocate with the Governor to sign the bill. It should be filled out by your organization's Director of Finance or other staff familiar with employee benefits offered and costs associated. With that information, the survey should only take about 10 minutes to fill out.

This information will only be reported in the aggregate and each organization's information will remain confidential.

Thank you for taking the time - this information will be critical to our work to protect your organization and the sector!
