Look at the many church ministry opportunities listed below …..
and PLEASE, CHOOSE 1, really - please CHOOSE a couple or several that you can be of help to OUR congregation
First English is a great place and a good part of that comes from ALL OF US lending a hand ! THANKS!!!

Readers / Lectors for worship service (read the lessons)

Communion Assistants (even holding the baskets for empty cups)

Ushers / Greeters (handing out bulletins / greeting people)

Altar Guild (preparing the wine / bread for communion worship AND training is provided – really helpful and meaningful)

Music (choirs, praise team, special music – again, further info is provided)

Sunday School for children / youth (does not have to be every week /can be for designated periods of time; grade levels and training and info to be worked out)

Sunday School / Midweek teaching for adults

**BIGGIE** help plan / work with others to plan congregational fellowship events (picnics, game nights, food and fun events, - anything and everything to bring people together AND this is just for an event or two !)

Help with Coffee hour (just take a turn now and then)

Help with Lenten meals (Lenten midweek meals – help others prepare)

Help with funeral meals (provide a dish / serve once in a while)

Help with Vacation Bible School (help in so many ways – snacks, teach, sing, lead, volunteer to be a helper with a class or group of children – just be here !)

Help with GRADES K – 2 (once a month 90 minute gathering / materials provided – just be with the children)

Help with GRADES 3- 5 (again – monthly gathering with the children/materials provided)

Help with GRADES 6 – 12 (our PRIMARY youth group – assist our leaders)

Visit the hospitals (training is provided)

Visit the shut ins (people in their homes / or care facilities)

Landscaping help (water flowers, spread mulch, help with work days)

Help with small repairs around the church (painting, light bulbs, etc.)

Technical AV Help (help with running the sound system)

Nursery Assistance / Childcare (we have paid Sunday morning staff / this is asking for others who might fill in – as needed or on special events)

Community Kitchen (monthly help with preparing / serving / providing food – You are just volunteering to help now and then)

Circle U (Saturday morning delivery of meals / 1 Sat every 8 weeks or so)

Prayer team (Monday 12:30 pm gathering OR offer to be a prayer partner!)

Library help (straighten up the books / check the books back in - info provided)

Adult DayCare (volunteer to help at the Adult Day Care – once / twice a week/ month)

Help with Christmas Decorations (as needed for take down / set up )

Set up / Clean Up as needed (willing to be “on call” as needed for sets ups/ clean ups)
