Community Garden 2021 Sign-up Form
South Royalton Community Garden
Thank you for your interest in the South Royalton Community Garden for the 2021 growing season! Please read this page carefully before completing the form, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We look forward to gardening with you!
It is the South Royalton Community Garden's policy to abide by the standards of organic gardening for ALL plot options: (https://nofavt.org/sites/default/files/files/resources/vof_guidelines_for_organic_certification_of_fruit_vegetable_crops.pdf)
There are 3 different ways to participate in the South Royalton Community Garden - described below. You will be prompted to select which participation option you are interested in while filling out the form.
Individual (Private) Plot: This option is for the experienced gardener who wants to manager their own plot organically for their own purposes. There is a fee of $20 for a 20'x20' plot, plus a $30 deposit which will be returned if your plot is properly cleaned up on or before October 10th. This option is not available for individuals new to gardening.
Collaborative Plot: This option is for a group of individuals (i.e. student groups/community orgs) who are interested in managing a plot collectively. There is a fee of $30 for a 20'x20x plot, plus a $40 deposit which will be returned if the plot is properly cleaned up on or before October 10th. This is a flat rate per plot, NOT per individual in the group.
Open Space: This option includes all of the plots that are not rented out privately, and is recommended for individuals who are newer to gardening or interested in learning more about organic gardening in a group setting. This option is also great for experienced gardeners who want to share their knowledge and/or responsibilities! The open space is facilitated by the management team, and it entails open gardening hours where anyone can show up, garden communally, and take home a share of the harvest. Participants can garden in the open space on their own terms as well. This option is free of charge.
