Who we are: The Illinois HIV Action Alliance (IHAA) is a coalition of organizations and advocates that seeks to eliminate HIV-based social stigma and criminalization. By centering the voices of people living with HIV, we promote the dignity, rights, and respect of the community through engagement, advocacy, and education.

What this is for: The purpose of this anonymous survey is to understand what people know about Illinois laws regarding HIV and how it affects them.  We will use this information to inform our advocacy efforts, including building educational materials and outreach activities centered on the voices of people living with HIV and HIV-negative individuals who are at risk.

Why participate: This survey will take you about 10 minutes. The data we collect from our survey will help us do better at supporting and advocating for communities impacted by HIV.  To thank you for your contribution to the research project, you can enter your name in a drawing to win one of three $50 cash gift cards. Your email will be requested only if you choose to participate in the drawing and will not be linked to your survey response. The drawing link will appear at the end of the survey on our thank you page.

Protecting your confidentiality: This survey is anonymous, and we do not ask for your name or contact information. Members of IHAA will see the results of the survey, but will not know who you are or be able to connect your name with your answers.  When survey results are reported, they are always aggregated - this means that individual survey results are combined together and presented as a group.

Some of the questions ask about very personal information.  If there are questions you do not want to answer, you do not have to do so.  You can stop taking the survey at any time.
