This survey is designed to allow the State of Nevada to better understand the overhead costs associated with running a private law firm. Naturally, attorneys in Nevada often have many overhead costs that are typically associated with running a law practice. When the State of Nevada and counties determine hourly rates or contract amountsfor indigent defense service providers, however, it is not clear whether these overhead costs are always considered.
The following questions will ask you to provide information about the amount of overhead costs your office incurs, as well as the types of expenses you have. The results of the survey will allow the Nevada Department of Indigent Defense to better understand these overhead costs so that attorney rates and contracts can be more realistically calibrated.
The survey deadline is July 31, so please respond before that time.
