You're Invited.

We want to hear from you! We invite you to share your thoughts on the development of a key solution to disaster response.

We are running the MakerNet project,, which aims to create open source digital platforms to support distributed manufacturing of key supplies for humanitarian relief and for development. We want these platforms to reflect your needs and invite you to share your thoughts!

Potential manufacturer functional use cases:
Ready-to-make designs: product search, product designs & production instructions, upload new products, local manufacturer/producer search & quotation, customizable profiles, tender submissions

* 1. How would you rate the attractiveness of supplying Humanitarian or Development organizations?

* 2. What are the main challenges you’ve experienced in supplying such organizations? How would you like to see these challenges addressed?

* 3. How would you rate your capacity to provide humanitarian or development supplies?

* 4. In terms of supplying these buyers, what do you want to be able to achieve in the future that you can’t today?

* 5. Considering the proposed Makernet, what content might help you accomplish your work? For example, buyer RFPs, map of local resources (machinery, skilled makers, etc).

* 6. How might you want to interact with the content on Makernet? For example, like Amazon, Alibaba, printable RFPs, tenders, etc.

* 7. What features are important to you (for example, tender search, quotation capability, customizable profiles, others)?

* 8. Do you currently work with digital design files for production? If so, are there any challenges in working with such files you would like to see addressed?

* 9. Other thoughts you’d like to share?

* 10. At what email address would you like to be contacted? (To stay in touch. We will only occasionally email updates or opportunities.)
