The National Alliance for Safe Housing (NASH) and National Housing Law Project (NHLP) are supporting LAHSA’s efforts to develop county-wide policies in collaboration with housing providers operating within Los Angeles County on emergency transfer policies specific to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking in accordance with the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). NASH and NHLP are providing support to housing providers in Los Angeles County who have questions regarding their obligations under VAWA and related federal, state, and local laws as they relate to survivors’ housing rights.
