The Wikipedia + Libraries: Better Together training program is a grant-funded, free, continuing education course designed for public library staff interested in gaining skills to evaluate, edit and engage with Wikipedia in their libraries. If you need more information, see the course FAQ

These questions are meant to clarify expectations of participants and gather information about your library. After answering them, you will be given a code that will enable you to enroll in the course.

* About the training program
  • This online course is 10 weeks long: September 13 -  November 15, 2017.
  • Course work will require a time commitment of 3–5 hours per week. This includes session attendance, independent readings, online discussion forums, and activities between sessions.
  • There will be six, 90-minute live online sessions on Wednesdays at 1:00pm ET (Sept 13, 20, 27, Oct. 11, 25, and Nov. 15).
  • Participants will engage in an online community of practice that includes discussion forums and support materials.
  • Participants will work on assignments between live sessions.
  • WebJunction staff are available to provide training and support for using the online tools.
