We are excited to offer the opportunity for self-advocates to share their knowledge and experience with their peers during breakout sessions at The Power of Our Voices: the 2025 Florida Self-Advocacy Conference!

Presentations (including interactive activities, Q & As, and panels) must be no longer than 45 minutes. All presenters must complete this form by the deadline to be considered. Be sure to keep a copy of your answers. As you complete the proposal form, please consider the following selection criteria.

  • Preference will be given to active FL SAND group members and self-advocates
  • Preference will be given to topics related to the conference themes of increasing the self-advocate voice and influence in Florida. and grassroots advocacy to address issues related to disability employment, transportation, housing, health care, etc., or other topics that involve a strong self-advocacy focus
  • Reviewers will be looking for evidence in your proposal that you will include activities or exercises to engage your audience
  • Presenters will be notified in early July
