You are invited to take part in a study that aims to increase rates of participation in cervical screening of never screened and under screened women from priority populations during the antenatal and postnatal periods. The study is being undertaken by South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network and is funded by the Cancer Institute NSW.
You have been approached because you are a Primary Care Provider who works within the Central and South Eastern Sydney area, and you may provide health services to women from our study target population.
If you agree to take part in the study you will be asked to complete a questionnaire. This should take about 5 -7 minutes to complete and will involve answering questions about your experience providing and/or promoting cervical screening to women in both the antenatal and postnatal periods.
Participation in this study is entirely voluntary and if you do not wish to take part it will have no effect on your relationship with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District or the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network. If you decide not to participate you can withdraw from the study at any time without giving a reason; however it may not be possible to withdraw the data you have provided if identifying information has been removed.
The information you provide will not be identifiable, will only be seen by the study team and will be kept securely on a password protected stand-alone computer at the locked offices of Priority Populations, SESLHD. The information you provide will be destroyed after data is entered into a database. The study results will be published in a brief project report and/or article in a peer-reviewed journal. The results may also be presented at community forums, health conferences or other professional forums. No one will be able to identify you from this information.
If you want any further information about the study please contact the Principal Investigator, Lisa Woodland, at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 9382 8670.
