About

With the generous support of AARP, SAGE has partnered with Centerlink, InterPride, and the Center for Black Equity on the Welcome to Pride Initiative—designed to learn about and share the great strides that Pride organizers and advocates have already made and to encourage more Pride organization to join in making Pride celebrations across the country increasingly more age-friendly.

To assure that Pride is welcoming to people of all ages, many Pride organizers and elder advocates have taken steps to increase the age-friendly features of Pride events. Organizations wishing to publicly affirm their commitment to maintaining and/or increasing the age-friendliness of their events, are encouraged to sign the Age-friendly Pride Pledge. Age-friendly Prides will be listed on the Welcome to Pride page on SAGE’s website and in future editions of the Welcome to Pride Guide.

Instructions for Signing the Pledge
