Poukawa3030 Community Planning

Kia ora and welcome to your opportunity to shape the future of the Poukawa Valley! Poukawa 3030, a community group of locals from all walks of life, wants your help to develop a plan for our community, with the support of HDC.

What is a community plan? A community plan is the voice of a community, highlighting goals and aspirations and creating a unified vision and plan of action for the community.

YOU are the community, so let’s hear your thoughts to help create the plan!

And if you want to get even more involved, please see below for more details.
1.Let’s start with hearing about what you love best about the Poukawa valley.
2.What do you think can be improved in the Poukawa community?
3.What work is already underway to improve the Poukawa valley that needs to continue?
4.Which of the following areas do you think our community should prioritise over the next five years? Choose your top 3 from the list below (check the boxes)
5.How would you finish the following vision statement - “In 10 years’ time, the Poukawa valley will…”
6.We’d love to connect with more people in the community to get as much input into the plan as possible. Do you know of any group activities, meetings or events happening between August and November 2025 where we could connect with more community members to get input into this plan? Please provide dates, locations and contact information where available
7.Is there anything else you want included in this new community plan?
8.What age group are you?
9.How are you connected to the Poukawa valley?
10.Please leave your contact details below if you want to be involved in the development of the Poukawa3030 Community Plan
