The Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving all types of libraries, library employees, library trustees and Friends of Library Groups. We work to advance libraries and librarianship in the Commonwealth through advocacy with our state legislature and offer opportunities for professional growth, leadership development and continuing education for librarians.

Our annual conference is our largest in-person event, offering numerous educational sessions, as well as opportunities for networking and collaboration over the multiday event. Additionally, throughout the year, our single-day online events provide easy access to educational opportunities for library staff, board and Friends group members.

We welcome experts in the field as well as those outside libraries who can provide expertise on topics that will foster new ideas, collaboration and ways to improve library services and support for library staff members.
