Through workshops, blog posts, and other discussions, hospital and health system professionals have helped to create a draft set of Priority Competencies for Population Health Professionals. These competencies identify desired skills for population health professionals and will be used to develop training and other professional development activities for individuals engaged in activities such as community health needs assessments, community health improvement plans, and implementation of community-based interventions. The main target audience for these competencies are professionals in hospitals and health systems engaged in non-clinical population health activities. This draft set of competencies is based on the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals, a consensus set of foundational skills for individuals working in public health.

The Public Health Foundation and Association for Community Health Improvement are seeking your input and feedback on the draft Priority Competencies for Population Health Professionals. Please help us and your colleagues by taking 10 minutes to complete this survey.

If you have questions about this survey or this effort, please contact Ron Bialek, President, Public Health Foundation, rbialek@phf.org
