Nonprofit Policy Issues for 2025

We are asking for your help as we consider what policy issues will be important for nonprofits in Maryland in 2025. The direction of the economy and future federal policies are uncertain, but we do know that projected state revenues are inadequate to sustain even current state operations and programs.

We are asking that you share your own concerns or priorities for the coming year, as well as the effects that possible state cutbacks could have on your organization's programs and on those you serve or represent. We also encourage you to focus your policy efforts on how we can advance the goals of equity and social justice for all Marylanders.

Please have the appropriate person(s) in your organization complete this short survey to tell us about your policy concerns and a bit about your activities.

Also, if your organization has had issues with payments received under grant agreements with state agencies, please let us know if the "prompt payment" legislation passed in 2023 has improved the timeliness of grant reimbursements for services.

Maryland Nonprofits is committed to helping nonprofits have more impact on the policy issues that affect their clients and their ability to achieve their missions. Please contact us if you have any questions about policy issues, advocacy, lobbying, or the rules that apply to nonprofits.

Thank you,
