Media Borough Proposed Amendment to the Plastic Bag Ordinance

Media Borough enacted a Plastic Bag Ordinance in January of 2023. The plastic bag ordinance prohibits the use of plastic bags for customers. Straws may be made available upon customer request and for customers who may have a disability that requires use of a plastic straw.

In continuation of the ongoing efforts to strengthen Media Borough’s sustainability efforts, Borough Council is considering an amendment to the Plastic Bag and Straw Ordinance to include polystyrene (styrofoam) and black plastic products.

The borough would like feedback from business owners and managers regarding the proposed amendment. Please complete the following questionnaire about polystyrene (styrofoam) and black plastic products. Thank you for participating in this process.
