Until the end of October 2012, the City of Victoria is piloting specific road closures and changes in traffic direction in Beacon Hill Park to reduce traffic and make the park more pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Some vehicle roadways have been converted to multi-use trails and green space. During the pilot, motorists are still able to drive in and out of the park and existing parking lots have been maintained.
