Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud Survey

The Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud is an innovative workplace giving solution created by Salesforce.org and United Way Worldwide. The Philanthropy Cloud has been designed to shift United Way away from being part of a company's philanthropic effort and toward being a strategic business partner. It will also solve corporate partners' business and philanthropic needs in bigger and better ways. 

Local United Ways will be able to ensure they are a part of the interaction with corporate partners and forge connections between philanthropists everywhere, engaging 60 million donors around the world. 

United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey has decided to join the second cohort of United Ways to utilize the Philanthropy Cloud and United Way Worldwide is beginning outreach to Global Corporate Leaders about the product.For local United Ways considering investing in Philanthropy Cloud, the early pricing model was based on campaign size, but UWW is now considering a pricing model based on operating budget.

There is a possibility of different purchasing models which would allow small and medium-sized United Ways to better afford the Philanthropy Cloud. For example, there is an association of 8 United Ways in Indiana which have opted in together, realizing a cost savings. The potential for a hub and spoke model is also being explored, where other local UWs could buy in and contribute content through a hub United Way.

United Way of PA is gauging interest in a virtual learning session on the Philanthropy Cloud and overall interest in the product as well as potential hub models.
