Perspectives on Royal College collaboration

The UK Commission on Pharmacy Professional Leadership (2023) found that there is “insufficient collective leadership with the credibility and resources needed to fulfil their roles and responsibilities and help shape the future of pharmacy and wider healthcare”.

The UK Pharmacy Professional Leadership Advisory Board (UKPPLAB) was formed to put in place plans for a more cohesive approach to pharmacy professional leadership in the UK. Alongside this, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society is due to become a Royal College in 2026, offering a new potential framework for closer collaboration between an array of pharmacy leadership bodies and specialist pharmacy groups and organisations, including UKCPA.
