Please tell us your views

South Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for providing  GP services in your area and is committed to providing high quality, sustainable GP services for you.

Following Dr Nathu's retirement from general practice on 7 September 2018, Pennygate Health Centre closed on 7 September 2018. The CCG worked with NHS England on an interim arrangement to ensure Pennygate patients can continue to access GP services whilst longer-term plans are considered.  From 10 September 2018 Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) started providing GP services to Pennygate patients from the Johnson Hospital Spalding.

We are now considering longer term plans for GP services in Spalding and would welcome your views on how these could possibly be delivered as well as any other suggestions you might have to ensure the CCG has considered all the options that are available. These services must be sustainable for the future and a number of factors will need to be considered to ensure this including patient and public feedback, availability of GPs to run a service, viability of contract, patient lists and finances.

You can also collect a paper copy of this survey from Johnson GP Centre at Johnson Community Hospital or by phoning 01522 573939 to request a copy to be posted to you. Please ensure this is returned by Monday 31 December 2018.

Question Title

* We would like your views on a range of possible options for delivering GP services in Spalding and will then ask you which of them you would prefer for the future. Being able to deliver all of these will be dependent on a number of factors including GPs being available to deliver the services in the preferred location, availability of an appropriate building and finances as well as ensuring the services will be sustainable for the future.

In some of the options, we mention the possibility of a branch surgery - this is a surgery which is usually open for a few hours per day where patients can access some primary health care services at an alternative site to the main site of their registered practice.
