Introduction

APC will be exhibiting at the AAMC 2018 Annual Meeting and participating in the Minority Student Medical Career Fair in Austin, TX. Based on demand and last year’s success, the APC will continue to develop and distribute a FREE listing of pathology-relevant student experiences to students, mentors, faculty, and deans at the AAMC meeting. The listing will also be posted on the APC website: www.apcprods.org/opportunities, and will be updated annually. Thank you to last year's contributors (see below!) for making this compilation of opportunities an invaluable resource (see attached for reference).

Now through October 1st, we are collecting basic program information on this survey.
Programs are categorized in three major areas:
(1) Post-Sophomore Fellowships for Medical Students;
(2) Post-Baccalaureate Programs for Pre-Med Students (already attained a Bachelor's degree); and
(3) Summer Internships for High School or College Students.

We recognize that people outside of APC’s membership and even outside of pathology departments may be responsible for administering these programs. We encourage you to distribute this survey widely within your pathology department and/or other medical departments/offices. For instance, PI/faculty members or division (subspecialty) directors may have specific opportunities incorporated into their grants or other funding sources not necessarily part of a larger institutional formal program. Alternatively, there may be cross-departmental post-baccalaureate programs that may include a pathology experience. We'd like to capture anything related to pathology, whether informal or formal, to identify opportunities in pathology for the future workforce pipeline!

Thanks for your participation!
