This study aims to collaborate with the Association of American Railroads, Shortline Safety Institute, other industry and federal partners, and the Hazmat response training and response community to document Smart Practices and Lessons Learned from Significant Rail Incidents.
This proposed component of the study is consistent with the overall goals of the study and is intended to be a logical extension and follow-up to the Considerations For Ensuring The Effectiveness of U.S. Railroad Hazardous Materials Training, Preparedness, And Community Outreach Programs©. The IAFC Team is looking for responders who have responded to a rail incident.
We are seeking volunteers to participate in the critical needs assessment. If you meet the initial requirements to participate, you will be contacted by the IAFC Team with a follow-up request to help answer crucial questions.
