* 4. Which types of support would you find most helpful? Please choose 2 ONLY

Small groups of less than 6 people, who with the help of a facilitator, will have a brief opportunity to discuss and possibly practice ways to talk to their children about how they are managing and in particular if they are concerned that their children might be at risk of hurting themselves.

A free 4-hour training workshop. Facilitators would focus on helping parents recognise signs of emotional crisis, how to listen and support including checking safety and asking about suicide, how to link to support services and resources, tips and tools for self-care.

An informal support group where parents and adult relatives can meet to support each other. This group might meet fortnightly or monthly for a period of time, until members of the group feel that there is no longer a need to meet. The format would be flexible and up to the group to decide.

A Q and A type afternoon/evening where parents have an opportunity to both meet informally to chat, connect and support each other and additionally ask questions of a panel made up of a variety of local services.
